Legendary items come with a minimum of HPs, Mana, Endurance, depending on their Tier (e.g. 140 for Tier 6) and an additional augmentation slot of type 6 for weapons or type 15 for other items. Legendary weapons often have improved proc rates (150 instead of 100%). Legendary items with a click-effect sometimes have the cast-time of the effect reduced.
NPCs which support intense mode can also spawn a Mighty Treasure Chest or even a Mythical Treasure Chest, if they support Intense modes. These chests have more and/or better rewards, such as mythical items.
Below table lists which mode is required to receive a guaranteed Legendary Treasure Chest. Some NPCs may spawn a legendary treasure chest, but it is uncommon or rare.
Normal means, if defeated in Normal mode or above, there will be a guaranteed tresure chest. There is a small chance, that the reward is a treasure chest of higher quality than indicated. The same logic applies to other modes. The NPC/event may or may not randomly spawn a legendary treasure chest in a lower mode.
Hard- means you get either a second Legendary Treasure Chest or a Mighty Treasure Chest if defeated in Hard- mode or above.
Intense in the first column means there is a guaranteed Legendary Treasure Chest if defeated in Intense mode. Intense in the second column means, there is a high chance for Legendary Treasure Chest if defeated in Intense mode. If there is no Mighty Legendary Treasure Chest, a regular Legendary Treasure Chest will appear.Â
Uncommon means there is no guaranteed treasure chest. Instead there is about a 25% chance in Normal mode and about a 50% chance in Hard mode. The higher the mode, the better the chance.
Rare has about half the chance of uncommon.
Examples:
Lord Nagafen - Normal - This means if defeated in Normal mode or above (Hard or Intense), a Legendary Treasure chest will appear. There are no higher quality treasure chests available. If defeated in a lower mode (Normal- or any Easy mode), a Legendary Treasure Chest may or may not appear.
Ancient Seer Venos - uncommon / intense - This means if defeated in any Easy, Normal or Hard mode, a Legendary Treasure Chest may or may not appear. The higher the mode, the higher the chance. If defeated in Intense mode, there is a Legendary or a Mighty Treasure Chest, with the latter being more likely. Defeating this NPC in Intense+ guarantees a Mighty Treasure Chest. There is no Mythical Treasure Chest.
An indication of Normal- / Hard- means there is a 100% chance for a Legendary Treasure Chest in Normal- and, depending on the event, there is a high chance for a Mighty Treasure Chest in Hard-.
